Ayurveda Sweet Grape Chutney


  • 1/3 cup sweet purple grapes (seedless)

  • 1/3 cup raw cashews or almonds

  • ¼ teaspoon Himalayan pink salt or Red Alaea Salt (from Hawaii)

  • ¼ teaspoon of a mix of the follow churna made using powdered digestive spices: 6 parts coriander 6 parts fennel 1 part turmeric 1/2 part cumin

  • Blend together in a small Cuisinart or Magic Bullet or other such gadget.

How to Use Chutneys:

Think of chutneys as sort of an Indian salsa. Use a small dollop (1-2 teaspoons) with your rice, beans, vegetables, savory snacks, flat breads, and more.

Chutneys are best made fresh each day which works out well by using simple recipes with fresh ingredients. Chutneys from a jar simply don't compare to fresh homemade.
